Prof VP Tiwari Appointed as Acting Vice-Chancellor of MNLU Nagpur

Professor VP Tiwari has been appointed as the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Nagpur. He takes over from the institution’s Founding Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Dr) Vijender Kumar.

Prof Tiwari has been an integral part of MNLU Nagpur since its establishment in 2016, contributing as a founding faculty member. His involvement has been extensive, having served on several pivotal committees, including the Executive Council, the Academic Council, and the Research Committee. His leadership roles have encompassed Convenor positions for the Moot Court, Internship, Curriculum Development, Examination, and Student Grievance Redressal Committees. Additionally, he has acted as a Proctor and Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

Upon his appointment, Prof Tiwari expressed his commitment to enhancing the university’s academic excellence, emphasizing the importance of character, discipline, and diligence. He believes that a university’s mission extends beyond producing skilled professionals; it should also cultivate individuals who are humane, responsible, and devoted to upholding justice and constitutional values, while serving society.

Prof Tiwari aims to create an environment that promotes intellectual rigor, integrity, compassion, and responsibility. His priorities include focusing on student welfare, delivering quality legal education, fostering impactful research, encouraging innovation, ensuring good governance, and enhancing both national and international collaborations.
