Bgauss Auto Private Limited, a prominent name in the electric two-wheeler industry, successfully secured ₹110 crore (approximately $11.6 million) through a Series D funding round. This significant financial boost was spearheaded by the company’s founder, Hemant Mahendrakumar Kabra, with additional contributions from existing investor Bharat Value Fund and two other undisclosed investors.
Renowned law firm Khaitan & Co played a pivotal role in this transaction by advising Bgauss on legal aspects of the fundraise. The advisory team from Khaitan & Co was led by Partner Bhavik Narsana, with significant contributions from Senior Associate Ipshita Dey, and Associates Pragya Mishra and Sakshi Mehta, ensuring a seamless execution of the deal.
Established in 2020 by Hemant Kabra, Bgauss operates under the umbrella of RR Global and is known for its innovative approach in manufacturing electric two-wheelers. The infusion of new capital is strategically allocated to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities, accelerate product innovation and research and development, and expand its dealership distribution network across India, thereby strengthening its market presence.
