JSA Guides Serentica Renewables in Securing $345.1 Million for Karnataka Projects

Serentica Renewables India 1 Private Limited has secured a substantial rupee term loan facility amounting to $345.1 million. This financing was facilitated through a consortium of lenders, including the Asian Development Bank and the New Development Bank, along with two other financial institutions.

The esteemed legal firm, JSA Advocates & Solicitors, provided critical advisory services to Serentica Renewables for this significant financial transaction. The JSA team was spearheaded by Partner Karan Mitroo, with crucial support from Partner Purvi Dabbiru and Principal Associate Aishwarya Dixit.

These funds are earmarked for a range of renewable energy projects in Karnataka. Specifically, they will support the establishment of a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 189.27 MW and a wind capacity plant of 204 MW. Additionally, the financing will facilitate the development of transmission lines connecting both the solar and wind projects to the respective grid substations, alongside other necessary infrastructure and ancillary works.

This strategic investment underscores Serentica Renewables’ commitment to expanding renewable energy infrastructure within the region, aligning with global sustainability goals.
