NLU Odisha’s Impressive Placement Statistics for the Class of 2026
National Law University Odisha (NLUO) has achieved significant success with its Class of 2026, securing 64 placements from a total of 120 students. This remarkable achievement includes 38 pre-placement offers (PPOs), 19 placements through campus recruitment drives, and 7 placements in prestigious litigation chambers.
Breakdown of Offers and Top Recruiters
The recruitment efforts have also led to 2 students obtaining fellowships and 10 gaining admission to LL.M. programs. The highest salary package offered to this batch reached ₹22.5 lakh annually, with a median package of ₹13.5 lakh per annum. Among the law firms, Trilegal emerged as the top recruiter, making 5 offers. Following closely were Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, S&R Associates, Saraf & Partners, and DWF, each extending 3 offers.
Other noteworthy recruiters included Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, Argus Partners, and Saakshya Law, each offering 2 positions. Several other firms like AZB & Partners, Khaitan & Co, and Sensato Legal offered opportunities to one student each, contributing to the diverse opportunities available for graduates.
In-House and Non-Traditional Roles
In the in-house sector, IDBI Bank stood out as the leading recruiter with 7 offers. Other corporate entities like Ashok Leyland and ICICI Bank also participated, reinforcing the broad spectrum of opportunities available to the graduates.
Beyond traditional law firm and in-house roles, the recruitment drive saw participation from consultancies, legal-technology firms, and policy institutions. Consilio LLC, Varahe Analytics, and Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy each offered one position, while PRS India’s LAMP Fellowship and the Graduate Impact Leadership Programme at Nation with Namo each attracted one student.
Opportunities in Litigation and Further Studies
Litigation chambers also played a significant role, with Dalal Chambers recruiting 2 students. Other chambers, including NJ Law Chambers and Reddy Law Chambers, each welcomed one graduate.
Moreover, 10 students from the batch have secured admissions to prestigious LL.M. programs both nationally and internationally. These include institutions like the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), NUJS Kolkata, and King’s College, London, among others.
