The Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai, has successfully placed 47 out of 120 students from its 2026 graduating class. This achievement highlights the university’s commitment to producing industry-ready legal professionals.
Of the 47 placements, a significant number—36 students—secured pre-placement offers (PPOs), while the remaining 11 students were placed through on-campus recruitment processes. The highest salary package offered stood at an impressive ₹22.5 lakh per annum, with the median package being ₹12 lakh per annum, demonstrating the strong demand for MNLU graduates in the legal market.
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas emerged as the leading recruiter, hiring a total of five students. This was followed by DSK Legal, which brought three students on board. Other prestigious law firms, including S&R Associates, Khaitan & Co, Trilegal, Wadia Ghandy & Co, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, Dentons Link Legal, and JSA, each recruited two students from the batch, further underscoring the high regard in which MNLU Mumbai’s legal education is held.
In addition to placements in law firms, two students have been selected for the prestigious role of law clerk-cum-research associates at the Supreme Court of India. This opportunity is a testament to the caliber of students produced by MNLU Mumbai.
Beyond immediate employment, the 2026 batch also saw five students opting for further education. These students have enrolled in esteemed institutions such as the London School of Economics, University College London Faculty of Laws, MNLU Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), and MNLU Mumbai itself, reflecting the diverse aspirations of the graduates.
