JGLS, NLSIU, and DSNLU Team Triumphs at FDI Moot South Asia Rounds 2026

A distinguished team of law students representing Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), National Law School of India University (NLSIU), and Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) has emerged victorious in the South Asia rounds of the 2026 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) International Arbitration Moot. This prestigious event was hosted by Lloyd Law College in Greater Noida from July 30 to August 2, 2026, attracting 38 teams from across India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

The competition’s top ten teams have secured their places in the Global Rounds, scheduled to take place at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) in Shenzhen, China, from October 23 to 27, 2026. The winning team members were Shravya Nargotra and Abhinandan Adhikari from JGLS, Rishank Mehrotra from DSNLU, Vinayak Kedia from NLSIU, and Shalini Kottapalli also from JGLS.

In a closely contested Final Round, the team faced off against Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) from Nava Raipur. The arbitral tribunal consisted of an esteemed panel including Justice Tejas Karia of the Delhi High Court, alongside Umasankar Yedla, Sameer Jain, Kapil Arora, and Iram Majid. The team’s outstanding performance secured their victory and cemented their reputation as formidable competitors in the field of international arbitration.

This accomplishment not only highlights the team’s legal acumen but also underscores the collaborative spirit fostered by these leading law institutions. The upcoming Global Rounds in Shenzhen promise to be a prestigious platform where these students will showcase their prowess on an international stage.
