Legal Giants Collaborate on CMR Green Technologies' ₹630 Crore IPO

CMR Green Technologies Limited, a prominent player in India’s non-ferrous metal recycling sector, has successfully launched an initial public offering (IPO) valued at ₹630.621 crore. This significant financial event involved an offer for sale of 32,858,323 equity shares by the Promoter Selling Shareholder, the Promoter Group Selling Shareholder, and the Investor Selling Shareholder.

Crawford Bayley & Co provided their legal expertise to CMR Green Technologies for this IPO. Meanwhile, DSK Legal extended their advisory services to the book running lead managers, which included Equirus Capital Limited, ICICI Securities Limited, and Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Limited. DSK Legal’s comprehensive role encompassed conducting due diligence, reviewing the Draft Red Herring Prospectus, Red Herring Prospectus, and the final Prospectus. These documents were filed with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), stock exchanges, and the Registrar of Companies. Additionally, the firm was responsible for crafting responses to queries from SEBI and other regulatory bodies, as well as drafting necessary consent letters, certificates from intermediaries, and negotiating all agreements related to the public offering.

The DSK Legal team involved in this transaction was led by Akanksha Dubey, an Associate Partner, with assistance from Associates Forum Vadgama, Mahadevan J, Harshita Dhelia, Kaishena Chauhan, and Siddharth Bharadwaj. Gaurav Mistry and Avinash Poojari served as relationship partners, while Ajay Shaw took on the role of lead engagement partner.

Hogan Lovells provided international legal counsel to the book running lead managers, with the transaction spearheaded by Biswajit Chatterjee, the Head of the India Practice and Managing Partner of the Dubai Office, supported by Kaustubh George and Purva Mishra.

Quillon Partners advised the Investor Selling Shareholder, Global Scrap Processors Limited, on this IPO. The Quillon Partners’ team was led by Abhik Ghosh, with Associates Afif Khan and Shivansh Soni contributing to the transaction.
