HSA Advocates has officially integrated the practice of Shashank Singh Associates into its firm, effective from July 1. This merger strengthens HSA’s capabilities in direct tax, white-collar crime, and general corporate law. The merger brings Shashank Singh, a seasoned legal expert, and his team, including S.K. Singh, a former senior IRS officer, to HSA Advocates.
Profound Experience and Expertise
Shashank Singh, the founder of Shashank Singh & Associates, brings over 16 years of professional experience to the table. He is well-regarded for his professionalism and expertise, particularly in tax structuring for both domestic and international transactions, infrastructure project financing, and corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings. Singh’s inclusion in HSA Advocates marks a significant expansion of the firm’s capabilities in these areas.
Strategic Advisory Role
Joining as a Special Advisor, S.K. Singh boasts a 36-year career with the Indian Revenue Service. Before retiring as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation) in Delhi, he amassed a wealth of experience in direct and international taxation, transfer pricing, and financial crime matters. His advisory and litigation expertise will be invaluable to HSA Advocates’ growing practice areas.
Diverse Team of Experts
The merger also includes Principal Associates Arjun Minocha and Sourav Vig. Minocha, with 13 years of experience in civil, commercial, and criminal litigation, specializes in white-collar crime under the PMLA, direct tax litigation, and banking and insolvency disputes. Vig’s decade-long experience in corporate and commercial law, including corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory advisory, further bolsters the firm’s service offerings.
