SGT University Gears Up for Lokmantra 2026
The Moot Court Society at the School of Law, SGT University, Gurugram, is excited to announce the 10th edition of its prestigious moot court competition, Lokmantra. Scheduled from October 22 to 24, 2026, this event promises a rich exploration of constitutional governance, civil liberties, and digital rights.
Exploring Key Legal Themes
The central moot proposition will delve into a compromised national entrance examination and subsequent public protests. This scenario raises pertinent legal questions concerning Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution, issues of criminal liability under penal and IT laws, and matters related to prohibitory orders, internet suspensions, online content blocking, journalist detention, equipment seizure, and the boundaries of state power.

Taking place at SGT University in Gurugram, Haryana, Lokmantra 2026 is open to students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs at recognized institutions across India. Teams can comprise either three members (two speakers and one researcher) or two members (two speakers).

Prizes and Opportunities
The competition offers substantial rewards, including ₹51,000 and a trophy for the winners, ₹31,000 and a trophy for the runners-up, and ₹11,000 each for the best memorial, best speaker, and best researcher.
