- Research Officer (Public International Law & Peacekeeping Operations)
- Research Officer (Law of the Sea – Deep Seabed Mining and Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ))
Both positions are based in Gujarat and provide the chance to pursue a Ph.D. by Publication under the guidance of Professor (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, focusing on accountability for crimes against peacekeepers and the law of the sea, respectively.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in public international law, maritime law, or a related field, achieving at least 55% marks. Relevant experience of at least one year in teaching or research within governmental, international organizations, or private institutions is essential. Additionally, candidates should have at least one publication in a recognized journal.
The university also values National Eligibility Test (NET) certification, presentations at conferences, and a strong grasp of MS Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
Research Officers will engage in interdisciplinary research, provide assistance in training and extension activities, interpret research data, and prepare comprehensive reports. Responsibilities also include organizing training programs, conferences, and workshops, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
Collaboration with external academic and governmental bodies, both domestically and internationally, is a critical component of these roles. Officers may also be tasked with additional duties as assigned by university authorities.
Remuneration
The positions offer a consolidated monthly remuneration ranging from ₹55,000 to ₹70,000.
