Anagram Partners is set to expand its footprint by launching a new office in Bengaluru, marking a significant strategic move in the Indian legal market. The firm has successfully onboarded esteemed legal professionals Anind Thomas from AZB & Partners and Ravisekhar Nair from Economic Laws Practice (ELP) as partners. Sources indicate that both Thomas and Nair will be accompanied by several team members, strengthening Anagram’s presence in the region.

Anind Thomas: A Veteran in IT and Telecommunications Law
Anind Thomas, an alumnus of the National Law School of India University, graduated in 2003 and brings an impressive 23 years of legal expertise. His fields of specialization include Information Technology, Telecommunications, Data Protection, and Dispute Resolution. Thomas’s legal acumen is demonstrated by his representation of clients before top judicial and arbitration authorities, such as the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and National Company Law Tribunals, as well as both domestic and international arbitration forums. Prior to joining Anagram Partners, Thomas was a distinguished member of AZB & Partners for over 15 years.
Ravisekhar Nair: Expert in Competition Law and Data Privacy
Ravisekhar Nair, who graduated from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal in 2005, furthered his education with an LL.M. in International Trade Laws & Dispute Resolution from The University of Queensland in 2007. With two decades of experience, Nair specializes in Competition Law, Data Privacy, Technology, and AI Regulation. His expertise is widely recognized in handling investigations and proceedings before the Competition Commission of India, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, various High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India. In addition, Nair has been instrumental in advising on merger control and competition compliance services.
Notably, Nair served on the ‘Law Firm Working Group’ formed by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to finalize merger regulations governing combinations in India. He has also significantly contributed to the development of processes and procedures in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India. Nair’s tenure at Economic Laws Practice spanned 14 years, following a 6-year stint at Luthra and Luthra.
