White & Case has announced the appointment of Aditya Singh as the Executive Partner of its Singapore office, a position he will assume on August 1, 2026. Singh, a seasoned partner at the firm, brings extensive expertise in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, intricate cross-border litigation, and white-collar investigations.
Aditya Singh is qualified to practice in India, New York, and England and Wales, showcasing a diverse legal background. His journey with White & Case has seen him working in the firm’s New York and London offices before settling in Singapore. In addition to his role at White & Case, Singh also contributes to the legal community as an arbitrator and serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Law.
Singh boasts an impressive academic pedigree, having graduated from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) in India and subsequently from Yale Law School. His legal acumen has been instrumental in some of the most significant and high-profile international disputes involving Indian parties.
Earlier in 2023, Singh played a pivotal role in the team that successfully represented India in the High Court of Australia concerning enforcement proceedings related to the Devas v Republic of India Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) award. This case was closely watched in the international legal community.
More recently, Singh was involved in representing a defendant in the United States v Adani et al case, which drew considerable attention due to the allegations of conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. In a significant development, the US Department of Justice has moved to dismiss the indictment against all defendants with prejudice, marking a turning point in the proceedings.
