In a significant move for the burgeoning space technology sector, Antariksh Venture Capital Fund has acquired a minority shareholding in Dhruva Space Private Limited for a substantial ₹60 crore. The legal expertise for this transaction was provided by TT&A, with a team led by partners Deepa Christopher and Pratika Shankar, alongside associate Aanchal Kabra and company secretary Ruchi Tripathi.
Dhruva Space, a comprehensive provider of space engineering solutions, operates across the satellite, launch, and ground segments. The investment by Antariksh Ventures, India’s foremost dedicated Space-Tech investment fund, signifies a strategic entry into the rapidly growing space sector. This initiative is in alignment with the Government’s broader agenda to enhance financing for private enterprises within the space industry.
On the other side of the deal, Dhruva Space sought legal counsel from Xander Law Associates, ensuring the transaction was smoothly navigated from both ends. Antariksh Ventures is supported by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) and is managed by SIDBI Venture Capital Limited, reflecting the fund’s robust backing and commitment to advancing India’s space industry.
This transaction marks Antariksh’s inaugural investment within the space sector, reflecting the Government’s initiative to boost private sector participation and investment in space technology.
