FCRF Academy’s Cyber Law Certification Program Returns

The Future Crime Research Foundation (FCRF) Academy has announced the registration for the second cohort of its Certified Cyber Law Practitioner (CCLP) program. This four-week weekend certification is tailored for a diverse group of professionals, including lawyers, law students, in-house counsel, compliance officers, police personnel, cybercrime investigators, and digital-risk experts. The upcoming session is set to commence on June 6, with live classes scheduled on weekends from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Comprehensive Curriculum and Resources

The CCLP offers a robust 16-module curriculum, granting participants lifetime access to recorded sessions and learning materials. An additional benefit for participants is the access to recordings from the previous batch, allowing for comprehensive revision and enhanced understanding. The course fee is ₹4,499, inclusive of GST and other applicable charges.

FCRF’s Expanded Professional Certification Ecosystem

This program is part of the extensive professional certification ecosystem developed by FCRF Academy. Other major programs include the Certified Cyber Crisis Management Professional, conducted in collaboration with CERT-In, as well as certifications for Chief Information Security Officers, Governance Risk & Compliance Professionals, Data Protection Officers, and Fraud Investigators.

FCRF’s Institutional Collaborations

The FCRF, a non-profit incubated by IIT Kanpur’s AIIDE-CoE, is also renowned for organizing the FutureCrime Summit, considered India’s largest conference on tech-enabled crime. The foundation collaborates with various institutions, including NIELIT under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, where a memorandum of understanding was signed in the presence of Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Addressing the Growing Need for Cyber Law Expertise

The second cohort of CCLP arrives at a crucial time when cyber law is becoming an essential aspect of professional practice. The legal system increasingly handles matters involving electronic evidence, digital records, and online fraud. Companies are faced with challenges related to data protection, breach responses, and regulatory compliance. Law enforcement agencies are tasked with tackling cyber fraud and platform-linked offenses. This evolving landscape necessitates structured, India-focused cyber law training.

Practical and Legal-First Learning Approach

Participants will delve into India’s cyber law and digital regulatory framework, with a focus on practical applications. Key topics include the Information Technology Act, cyber offenses, electronic records, digital signatures, civil liabilities, and cybercrime procedures. The course also covers the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, CERT-In compliance, and the emerging obligations for digital platforms.

Diverse Faculty and Real-World Application

The CCLP program boasts a diverse faculty, including professors from the National Forensic Sciences University and National Law Institute University, as well as law firm partners, data protection experts, and digital forensics professionals. This blend of academic and practical expertise ensures that participants gain insights applicable to real-world scenarios.

Flexible Learning with Prior Batch Recordings

Participants will benefit from access to recordings from the previous CCLP batch, providing a broad learning archive. This feature is particularly advantageous for working professionals who can attend live sessions and utilize recorded materials for revision. The FCRF Academy’s platform offers a comprehensive learning management system with recordings, study materials, and updates.

Who Should Enroll?

The CCLP program is ideal for advocates, law students, in-house legal teams, compliance officers, police, prosecutors, cybersecurity professionals, and anyone operating at the intersection of law, cybercrime, and digital evidence. It is also suitable for those seeking to specialize in cyber law without committing to long-term academic courses.
