SGT University Unveils ADR in Sports Law Certificate Course
The Centre for Sports Law and Athlete Welfare (CSLAW) at the School of Law, SGT University, has launched a new Certificate Course focused on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Sports Law. This innovative program is tailored to bridge the gap between the realms of sports and dispute resolution using ADR strategies.
Course Details and Structure
This comprehensive course spans four weekends, encompassing 16 hours of instruction divided into four thematic modules. Participants will journey from understanding the domestic framework for sports disputes in India to exploring international arbitration at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne. Delivered entirely online through Zoom, the course features a distinguished panel of national and international experts, including a CAS-listed arbitrator, ensuring that attendees gain both a solid legal foundation and practical insights.
About CSLAW
Under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Richa Chaudhary, Dean of the School of Law at SGT University, CSLAW is rapidly becoming a prominent voice in the field of sports law scholarship and practice in India. Directed by Udiksha Rana, an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, and Rashmi Giri, Assistant Director and Assistant Professor, CSLAW is committed to advancing research and engagement in sports law. Established in 2026, the Centre focuses on topics such as sports governance, dispute resolution, athlete welfare, anti-doping regulation, and sports integrity.
