Central Government Appoints Three New Judges to Karnataka High Court
In a significant development for the judiciary in Karnataka, the Central Government has officially appointed three judicial officers as additional judges to the Karnataka High Court. This announcement was made on Saturday, marking a pivotal step in enhancing the judicial capacity of the court.
The individuals elevated to the esteemed positions are Usharani, KS Bharath Kumar, and Nerale Veerabhadraiah Bhavani. Their appointments were based on recommendations put forth by the Supreme Court Collegium on September 10.
The Karnataka High Court, which currently operates with 54 judges, will see its working strength increase to 57 once these new judges assume their roles. The court has an approved capacity for 62 judges, and this addition marks a noteworthy progression towards reaching that full complement.
