Experience Required: 5+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in corporate law is preferred.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate from a recognized law school and hold a valid license to practice in New York. A New Jersey license is considered an advantage.
Role and Responsibilities
As a sole practitioner with a focus on business and commercial litigation, Shapiro & Associates is looking for a dedicated legal expert to undertake research using Westlaw or LexisNexis. The role involves drafting and reviewing pleadings and uploading documents to the New York State Courts Electronic Filing (NYSCEF) system.
Additionally, candidates may be required to represent clients during remote court hearings. Strong analytical and writing skills, alongside an in-depth understanding of corporate law, are essential for this role.
Compensation
The position offers an annual remuneration of $52,000.
