Vedic Legal & Co. is actively recruiting experienced Advocates for its Delhi office. The firm is looking to fill four full-time positions, offering a hybrid work environment. Successful candidates will be expected to specialize in Banking & Finance Litigation and Criminal Matters.

Job Description

We seek Advocates with a minimum of 5 years of experience, bringing expertise in banking/financial issues and criminal litigation. The ideal candidates must possess substantial courtroom experience, adept legal drafting skills, and the capability to manage complex legal matters independently.

Preference will be given to individuals with an educational background from prestigious law institutes and experience working with top law firms, financial institutions, banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), or corporate legal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation and legal matters related to banking, finance, recovery, SARFAESI, DRT, NCLT, and related proceedings.
  • Represent clients in High Courts, District Courts, DRTs, NCLT, and other judicial or quasi-judicial forums as needed.
  • Handle criminal cases, including criminal complaints, bail applications, investigations, and related court proceedings.
  • Conduct hearings independently, develop case strategies, and oversee litigation processes.
  • Draft and review various legal documents such as petitions, applications, legal notices, complaints, and appeals.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and deliver practical legal opinions.
  • Coordinate with clients, senior advocates, investigators, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor case progress, court dates, filings, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate case records and provide timely updates on litigation status.
  • Assist in formulating effective recovery, dispute resolution, and litigation management strategies.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • LL.B./LL.M. from a reputable and recognized law institution.
  • Over 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience as an Advocate.
  • Proven specialty in Banking & Finance Litigation and Criminal Matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and court procedures.
  • Strong skills in drafting, pleading, research, and oral advocacy.
  • Demonstrated courtroom experience with the ability to manage cases independently.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Profile

Preference will be given to candidates from esteemed law firms, banking/financial institutions, or recognized litigation practices. Graduates from renowned law schools with significant courtroom exposure will have an edge.

Remuneration

The compensation package is competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards.
