Partners Vidyut Gulati and Anubhuti Agrawal Depart Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas for In-House Roles

In a significant development within the legal industry, Vidyut Gulati and Anubhuti Agrawal, esteemed partners at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., have announced their resignations to pursue in-house opportunities. This move highlights a growing trend among legal professionals transitioning from law firms to corporate environments.

Anubhuti Agrawal is set to join Hilton as Counsel – Development and Operations in India, marking a new chapter in her distinguished career. Pallavi Shroff, Managing Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, confirmed the departures, stating, “Both are moving in-house and we wish them all the very best.”

Vidyut Gulati has been a key figure at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas since 2006. Prior to her tenure, she was associated with Dua Associates. A graduate of the prestigious Campus Law Centre, Vidyut made her mark in the firm’s Projects team and ascended to the role of partner in 2012. Her journey in the legal field has been notable for her significant contributions and leadership.

Similarly, Anubhuti Agrawal, an alumna of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, initiated her career at Amarchand Mangaldas. She has been an integral part of the firm’s corporate practice group. Further embellishing her academic credentials, she holds an LL.M. from University College London. Her elevation to partner status came in 2013, reflecting her expertise and commitment to the legal profession.

Their transitions represent the third occurrence of partners leaving the firm in recent times. Earlier this year, in May, Principal Associate Ramanuj Gopalan made a similar move, joining SAIF Partners as General Counsel.
