Khaitan & Co's Abhisaar Bairagi Moves to Singapore Office

Khaitan & Co has announced the strategic relocation of Partner Abhisaar Bairagi to its Singapore office. Associated with the firm since 2011, Bairagi plays a pivotal role in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Her expertise spans across corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration, with specialized focus in sectors such as Infrastructure, Construction, Logistics, Mining, Energy, Transportation, and E-commerce.

Throughout her career at Khaitan & Co, Bairagi has adeptly represented both Indian and international clients in intricate domestic and cross-border disputes. Her legal prowess extends to appearances before the Indian Supreme Court, various High Courts, and tribunals, in addition to managing arbitrations under prominent institutions such as the ICC, SIAC, DIAC, HKIAC, and MCIA.

This relocation follows the departure of Kartikey Mahajan, who was previously stationed in Singapore and has now moved to the Dubai office. Mahajan joined Khaitan & Co in 2022, marking his presence as the first Disputes Partner in Singapore.

Amar Sinhji, the Executive Director at Khaitan & Co, expressed his optimism about Bairagi’s transition. He stated, “We are delighted to announce that Abhisaar Bairagi will be relocating to our Singapore office. In this new capacity, she will significantly contribute to the expansion of our International Disputes practice while continuing to manage her India-based cases. This move represents an exciting new chapter for both Abhisaar and the firm, as we aim to further enhance our global presence and capabilities.”

Khaitan & Co’s strategic relocations underscore its commitment to strengthening its international practice and expanding its footprint in key global markets. With Bairagi’s extensive experience and specialization, the firm is well-positioned to bolster its service offerings in the Asia-Pacific region.
