Durga Priya Manda has taken on a new role at Argus Partners, where she has been appointed as a Partner in both the Dispute Resolution Practice and the Technology & Data Privacy Practice. She will operate from the firm’s New Delhi office, further solidifying its presence in the region.
Manda graduated from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, in 2015 and subsequently completed her LLM at the University of Cambridge in 2016. With over a decade of experience under her belt, Manda is well-versed in advising and representing clients across a broad spectrum of legal challenges. Her expertise spans commercial disputes, both domestic and international arbitrations, and complex cross-border disputes. She is also proficient in handling shareholder and investor-exit disputes as well as ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations.
Her legal acumen extends to proceedings before various courts and tribunals, and she is experienced in navigating the intricacies of technology regulation and disputes. Manda’s practice includes advising on privacy and data protection, intermediary liability, content and platform regulation, cybersecurity, and enforcement actions. She is adept at handling cases involving blocking, takedown, and other regulatory directives. Her client portfolio includes sectors such as technology, digital platforms, financial services, telecommunications, infrastructure, and healthcare.
Before her tenure at Argus Partners, Manda was associated with AZB & Partners and gained substantial experience through previous engagements at Meta (on secondment), Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, and Nishith Desai Associates. Her comprehensive background in both disputes and technology law makes her a valuable addition to Argus Partners.
