Senior Advocate Pradeep Rai has been elected as the new President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), marking a significant milestone in his legal career. The election results were announced on Tuesday, revealing that Rai secured his leadership position by a substantial margin.
In a closely watched contest, Rai garnered a total of 822 votes, decisively defeating his nearest competitor, Senior Advocate Anupam Lal Das, who received 451 votes. The vote tally for the other candidates was as follows: Aadish Agarwalla received 412 votes, Gaurav Bhatia secured 370 votes, Sukumar garnered 269 votes, Mahalakshmi Pavani obtained 128 votes, and Siddharth Mridul received 217 votes.
