Gopalakrishnan, a distinguished legal professional, graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi in 2004. Bringing over 22 years of robust experience to the table, she has held prominent positions in both esteemed law firms and senior in-house roles within India and the UAE.
Her extensive legal prowess covers a spectrum of areas, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, corporate governance, and compliance. She also boasts significant expertise in restructuring, regulatory issues, cross-border structures, and joint ventures, making her a valuable asset to EssilorLuxottica.
Before her new role at EssilorLuxottica, Gopalakrishnan served as a Partner at Khaitan & Co. During her tenure, she provided strategic legal counsel to boards, promoters, and management teams across various regions including India, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Her career has also seen her excel at Afridi & Angell, Trilegal, and Rajkotia Associates, where she was involved in acquisitions, private equity, strategic mergers, joint ventures, asset transfers, legal due diligence, and more.
