Vardharma Law Elevates Vidula Mehrotra, Welcomes Roshni Khirbath as Partners

In a strategic advancement for its legal practice, Vardharma Law, formerly known as Vardharma Chambers, has announced two significant appointments in its New Delhi office. Vidula Mehrotra has been promoted to Partner, while Roshni Khirbath joins the firm as a Partner, marking a pivotal expansion of the firm’s leadership to three partners.

Vidula Mehrotra’s New Role

Vidula Mehrotra steps into her new role as the head of the firm’s Litigation practice. Previously serving as a Senior Associate, Mehrotra has been an integral part of Vardharma Law since 2018. Her credentials as an Advocate-on-Record before the Supreme Court of India underscore her extensive legal expertise. Over her nine-year career at the Bar, Mehrotra has developed a robust portfolio in civil and commercial litigation, service and labor law, criminal defense, and constitutional writ matters. Her legal acumen is regularly showcased through appearances before the Supreme Court, the Delhi High Court, and various specialized tribunals.

As an Advocate-on-Record, Mehrotra has independently managed a wide range of legal proceedings, including Special Leave Petitions, writ proceedings, contempt petitions, and criminal appeals. Her practice also encompasses service law, insolvency, and arbitration matters. Mehrotra expressed her commitment to maintaining a high level of direct involvement in every case, stating, “Being an Advocate-on-Record has meant taking direct ownership of matters before the Supreme Court, from filing through to final hearing. As the firm’s litigation practice grows, I want to keep that same level of direct, senior involvement in every matter we take on, regardless of scale.”

Roshni Khirbath’s Strategic Focus

Roshni Khirbath joins Vardharma Law to lead Strategic Growth and Client Partnerships. Her role is pivotal in steering the firm’s strategic development, client engagement, and nurturing external and international relationships. Khirbath will closely collaborate with the litigation, transactional, and cross-border practices of the firm. Discussing her new role, Khirbath remarked, “This step comes at a point when the firm’s litigation and arbitration practice, alongside its private equity, M&A, and cross-border work, are all scaling at once. My focus will be on making sure the firm’s relationships with clients, investors, and international partners grow in step with that.”

Firm’s Vision and Growth

Somesh Tiwari, the Managing Partner, emphasized that these appointments signify Vardharma Law’s ongoing growth trajectory. He commented, “Vidula has been part of this firm’s growth for several years, and this promotion formalizes the role she already plays. She has run some of our most significant matters before the Supreme Court with complete independence, and that kind of ownership is exactly what we want more of as the litigation practice scales.”

He further highlighted Khirbath’s contribution, stating, “Roshni joined at a point when the firm was actively expanding its client relationships and international reach, and this partnership reflects the role she has taken on in building that out. Together, these appointments reflect the firm we’ve become: as much a litigation and arbitration practice as one built around transactions, PE and M&A, and cross-border work.”
