Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has recently welcomed Swathy Ramanath as a Partner in their Infrastructure, Energy, and Project Finance division, based in Bengaluru. An alumna of the National Law School of India University, graduating in 2011, Ramanath brings with her a wealth of experience accumulated over 15 years in the fields of Projects, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors.
Ramanath specializes in project contracts, concessions, and bid processes, as well as mergers and acquisitions and financing. Her expertise extends across a variety of transactions and assignments involving significant infrastructure assets. Her practice areas include power transmission, airports, conventional and renewable energy, railways, and other critical infrastructure sectors. Additionally, she has provided legal advice on disputes within these focal areas.
Moreover, her experience encompasses advising on the establishment and expansion of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), enhancing her insight into the infrastructure, regulatory, commercial, and transactional aspects critical to businesses operating and growing in India.
Before her move to Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Ramanath was a Partner at Khaitan & Co, where she commenced her journey in 2011 as an Associate and rose through the ranks to become a Partner.
