Arvind SmartSpaces Limited has announced the appointment of Tarpit Patni as its new Head Legal, effective July 1, 2026. Patni transitions to this role from Godrej Properties Limited, where he served as the Head Legal for the Mumbai Zone. His tenure at Godrej Properties was marked by significant contributions, including the structuring and strategizing of land acquisition transactions in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Patni’s expertise was instrumental in driving substantial growth in the zone, with the company attributing a ‘3x growth’ to his efforts.
Professional Background and Expertise
With over 13 years of experience, Patni brings a wealth of knowledge in real estate transactional work, compliance, and litigation strategy. His legal acumen has been sought after by both government and non-government bodies, notably advising the Deendayal Port Trust and the State of Rajasthan.
Patni holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (BA LL.B) degree from Nirma University in Ahmedabad, along with a Master’s degree in law, underscoring his robust educational background which complements his extensive practical experience.
Transition in Leadership
This appointment comes in the wake of Jai Kumar Ajbani’s resignation as the Head Legal of Arvind SmartSpaces, which took effect on June 30, 2026. Ajbani stepped down from his position due to personal reasons.
