Triumvir Law and Khaitan & Co Facilitate Nuyug's Pre-Seed Fundraising

Nuyug Retail Private Limited has successfully secured ₹2.5 crore through a pre-seed fundraising initiative, spearheaded by AJVC Fund and supported by various angel investors. The legal expertise for Nuyug, along with its founders Ankur Dua and Manali Thareja, was provided by Triumvir Law. Their guidance encompassed the structuring of the investment round, alongside the meticulous review and negotiation of critical documents such as the share subscription agreement, shareholders’ agreement, and employment agreements. Additionally, they ensured seamless execution and closing, as well as compliance with related secretarial duties.

The transaction team from Triumvir Law included Anubhab Sarkar, the Managing Partner, supported by Senior Associate Ragini Chakraborty and Associate Arjun Krishnan. Their collaborative efforts were instrumental in navigating the complexities of this fundraising exercise.

On the investor’s side, Khaitan & Co provided legal counsel to the lead investor, AJVC Fund, ensuring their interests were protected and aligned with the strategic goals of the investment.

Nuyug, founded in 2024 by Ankur Dua and Manali Thareja, is an innovative jewellery brand that seeks to fill the market void between imitation and fine jewellery. The brand is dedicated to offering skin-safe, gold-toned jewellery pieces that are ideal for weddings, festivals, and various social gatherings.

The funds raised from this pre-seed round are earmarked for expanding both online and offline sales channels, diversifying the product range, and enhancing research and development efforts, particularly in design innovation. This strategic allocation of resources positions Nuyug to capitalize on growth opportunities within the mass-premium jewellery sector.
