Timothy Franklyn Joins Dentons Link Legal as Capital Markets Partner

Bengaluru, India: Dentons Link Legal has announced the appointment of Timothy Franklyn as a Partner in their Capital Markets practice. Bringing over 20 years of specialized experience, Franklyn will be based in the firm’s Bengaluru office, where he will lead efforts in navigating intricate domestic and international capital market transactions.

Franklyn’s illustrious career is marked by his expertise in a variety of financial transactions, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs), rights issues, high-yield and convertible bonds, medium-term note programs, as well as Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings. His professional journey includes over a decade with prestigious international law firms such as Allen & Overy, Shearman & Sterling, and DLA Piper. His tenure also comprises seven years at Tatva Legal, a role as Deputy Managing Partner at Fox & Mandal, and a brief period at K Law.

An alumnus of the London School of Economics and Political Science, Timothy Franklyn holds an LL.M. degree and is duly qualified as an advocate in India and as a solicitor in England and Wales. In 2020, he distinguished himself as an Obama Scholar at Columbia University. Franklyn is also the visionary behind the Bengaluru School of Law and Justice (SoLJ), furthering his commitment to legal education and practice.

Atul Sharma, the Executive Chairman, along with Managing Partners Nusrat Hassan and Anand Srivastava, expressed their enthusiasm about Franklyn’s addition to the team.
