Tanay Agarwal’s Expertise in Banking and Finance
Tanay Agarwal, a 2015 graduate of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, joins the firm’s Banking and Finance practice. With over 11 years of experience in handling both domestic and international transactions, Agarwal specializes in corporate banking and structured private credit. His clientele includes top-tier banks, fund houses, and large conglomerates.
Agarwal’s sector experience is vast, covering industries such as airports, infrastructure, and real estate, among others. His impressive transactional portfolio features strategic stake acquisitions, listed company takeovers, and significant fundraising activities. Notably, he played a pivotal role in India’s largest private credit debt placement and the establishment of the country’s first asset-backed securitization fund in GIFT City. Before joining Touchstone Partners, Agarwal was a Partner at TT&A, Mumbai.
Puneeth Nagaraj’s Leadership in Emerging Technologies and Data Privacy
Puneeth Nagaraj, a 2013 alumnus of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, will lead the Emerging Technologies and Data Privacy practice at Touchstone Partners. With over thirteen years of experience, Nagaraj has been at the forefront of advising leading technology companies on India’s evolving technology regulations and data privacy frameworks.
His expertise spans sectors such as social media, gaming, fintech, and telecom. Notably, Nagaraj was invited by the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019, to testify as an expert witness. Before his current role, he was a Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., where he played a crucial role in developing regulatory frameworks for data protection and technology regulation.
