IndiaLaw LLP has welcomed Satish Anand Sharma as a Senior Partner at its Mumbai office, a significant move aimed at bolstering the firm’s expertise in Corporate & M&A, Financial Regulatory, Capital Markets, and Insolvency & Bankruptcy practices.

Sharma, an alumnus of the University of Mumbai (2007) and a member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, brings over 25 years of experience in advising corporates, banks, financial institutions, investment funds, and NBFCs on intricate domestic and international transactions. His extensive practice covers areas such as cross-border transactions, capital markets, financial regulatory advisories, structured finance, securitization, and compliance with FEMA, RBI, and SEBI regulations. Furthermore, Sharma is adept in corporate restructuring and insolvency & bankruptcy matters.

Throughout his career, Sharma has provided counsel to leading investment funds, corporates, public and private banks, and international financial institutions. His advisory roles have spanned high-value transactions in sectors like infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing, ports, pharmaceuticals, fintech, and real estate. His proficiency also extends to cross-border investments, foreign exchange regulations, and the establishment and regulation of financial entities, including Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), NBFCs, and Housing Finance Companies, along with securing necessary regulatory approvals.
