Anubhav Mehta has been appointed as a Partner at Desai & Diwanji, marking a significant addition to the firm’s Mumbai office. Mehta, a distinguished alumnus of the National University of Juridical Sciences in Kolkata, graduated in 2009 and brings with him an impressive portfolio of over 17 years in the legal industry, specializing in banking and fintech law.
Mehta’s extensive experience includes positions at top-tier financial institutions such as JP Morgan, Standard Chartered Bank, and ICICI Bank. His legal expertise covers a broad range of areas, including corporate law, real estate and trade finance, digital banking, cards, securities lending and borrowing, payment aggregator services, digital lending, card tokenization, and innovative financial products.
Before his new role at Desai & Diwanji, Mehta served as a Partner at Ashlar Law, albeit briefly. His transition to Desai & Diwanji is seen as a strategic move that promises to bolster the firm’s Banking & Finance practice.
Desai & Diwanji expressed their enthusiasm in a formal statement, saying, “We look forward to Anubhav’s expertise and perspective further strengthening our Banking & Finance practice and wish him every success in his new role.” The firm anticipates that Mehta’s insights and skills will enhance their service offerings and client relationships.
