18th SILF Turf Cricket League Set to Launch on October 2, 2026

The Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) is gearing up for the 18th SILF Turf Cricket League, which is scheduled to kick off on October 2, 2026, in Delhi. The matches will be held over the weekends at two premier locations: Modern School, Barakhamba Road, and Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Pitampura.

This year’s tournament promises an engaging experience with all games being live-streamed on YouTube, complete with commentary and real-time scorecards. Notably, for matches held at the Modern School venue, third umpire facilities will be available to aid in adjudicating run-out and stumping decisions, adding an extra layer of professionalism to the proceedings.

The deadline for teams to register is September 14, 2026. Each participating team is guaranteed at least three league matches and one knockout round, ensuring ample playtime and competition. Teams will be outfitted in customized colored uniforms, including t-shirts, lowers, pullovers, and caps, designed for their 15-member squads.

This edition will honor the late Arun Jaitley, with the Man of the Tournament Trophy named in his memory, celebrating his significant contributions to public life and the legal community. Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President of SILF, will oversee the captains’ draw in the final week of September, setting the stage for the much-anticipated event.

The previous tournament saw participation from 28 leading law firms. Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas claimed victory in the Cup Division, while Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan secured the runner-up position. In the Plate Division, Dentons Link Legal emerged as champions, with Lall & Sethi finishing as runners-up.

This year’s league is expected to be even larger, with 32 top law firms anticipated to compete. As of now, 23 teams have confirmed their participation, including Khaitan & Co, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners, and many others.

Bar & Bench will serve as the tournament’s digital media partner. Other notable partners include the Ram Rattan Group as the Luxury Farm House partner, Hamdard Joshina as the Wellness Partner, and Zyro by Karan Aujla as the Beverages Partner.
