In accordance with the Indian Constitution, the President, in consultation with the Chief Justice of India, has exercised the constitutional powers to approve these appointments. The decision is a step towards addressing the shortage in the Chhattisgarh High Court, which presently functions with only 11 judges out of an approved capacity of 22.
