Legal Giants Facilitate Juniper Green Energy's ₹1,800 Crore IPO

Juniper Green Energy Limited has successfully launched an initial public offering (IPO) of equity shares amounting to ₹1,800 crore. The legal advisory for this significant transaction was led by the esteemed law firms Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and international counsel Linklaters.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, a prominent Indian law firm, provided legal counsel to Juniper Green Energy for the IPO. The firm’s team was spearheaded by Partners Sayantan Dutta and Trishita Dasgupta, with valuable contributions from Principal Associate Ankur Verma and Associates Anoop Mukundan and Dipti Tharwani.

The book running lead managers (BRLMs) for this IPO, including ICICI Securities Limited, HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India) Private Limited, JM Financial Limited, and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited, were represented by the distinguished legal team of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Juniper Green Energy and Investor Response

Juniper Green Energy, a leading independent renewable energy power producer, operates and manages solar, wind, and hybrid power projects. Currently, the company boasts an operational portfolio of approximately 1GW, with an additional 2GW under construction and a development pipeline exceeding 5GW for solar, wind, and hybrid projects. The company prides itself on comprehensive internal capabilities in engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and operations and maintenance (O&M) services for its renewable projects.

The IPO witnessed robust interest from investors, resulting in an overall subscription rate of 8.69 times. The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) segment saw remarkable enthusiasm, being subscribed 27.44 times. Meanwhile, the Non-Institutional Investors (NII) segment was subscribed 1.82 times, and the Employee Reservation portion attracted significant interest with a subscription rate of 3.58 times.

This successful IPO underscores the continued investor confidence in Juniper Green Energy’s vision and potential in the renewable energy sector, as well as the strategic legal guidance provided by the collaborating law firms.
