Prateek Bhandari has recently been appointed as a Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co in New Delhi, where he will be part of the Infrastructure, Energy, and Project Finance Practice. Bhandari, an alumnus of the WB National University of Juridical Sciences in Kolkata (2013), furthered his education with an LLM in Corporate and Financial Law from Jindal Global Law School in 2024.
Bhandari brings over 13 years of extensive experience in project development, corporate law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and project finance across sectors such as power, renewable energy, oil and gas, roadways, ports, and airports. His expertise includes advising on concession agreements, power purchase agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, tendering and bidding processes, and regulatory matters. His practice also extends into forward-looking areas like energy transition, carbon markets, green hydrogen, and energy storage.
Before his current role at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Bhandari had a long tenure with Khaitan & Co spanning over a decade. Additionally, he has experience working with ICICI Bank. Notably, Bhandari is one of the co-founders of the widely recognized Lawctopus platform, although he is not actively involved with it at present.
