Saraf and Partners recently announced the departure of two of its prominent partners, Raunaq Bahadur Mathur and Ramya Suresh. The firm’s Founding & Managing Partner, Mohit Saraf, confirmed the news, stating, “Both Raunaq and Ramya will be moving on from Saraf and Partners after a brief stint with the firm. We wish them both the very best for the future.”
Profiles of Departing Partners
Raunaq Bahadur Mathur joined Saraf and Partners last year, bringing with her a wealth of experience in dispute resolution. An alumna of Barkatullah University and with an LL.M. in Business Laws from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, Mathur has over 15 years of experience. Her expertise lies in managing complex, high-stakes international and domestic arbitration, along with commercial litigation. Her practice covers a wide array of contentious matters, including shareholder and investment disputes, multi-jurisdictional conflicts, and sector-specific issues in infrastructure and oil & gas.
Mathur is embarking on a new journey by establishing her own independent practice, where she aims to continue her focus on intricate legal disputes.
Ramya Suresh joined Saraf and Partners in late 2023. A 2011 graduate of Amity Law School, Suresh has specialized in M&A, private equity-venture capital, and structured investments, along with advisory roles. With approximately 15 years of experience in the general corporate M&A sector, her practice spans numerous industries, including energy and infrastructure, manufacturing, agri/dairy-tech, automobiles, media and advertising, e-commerce, e-pharmacy, ed-tech, IT/ITES, FMCG, real estate, non-banking finance, and defense.
Suresh will continue her career as an independent advisor, leveraging her extensive industry knowledge and expertise.
