SolarSquare Energy Private Limited, an innovator in residential solar solutions, has successfully secured $53 million (approximately ₹508 crore) through a Series C funding round. The investment was spearheaded by B Capital, with significant contributions from existing investors including Lightspeed, Lowercarbon Capital, Good Capital, Zerodha, and Better Capital.
The legal aspects of this high-stakes transaction were expertly managed by Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. The firm provided comprehensive legal counsel to SolarSquare, overseeing the drafting, negotiation, and finalization of key agreements such as the share subscription agreement, shareholders’ agreement, share purchase agreements, and founders’ employment agreements. Additionally, they prepared other essential transaction documents and conducted a thorough vendor legal due diligence.
The transaction was led by Manish Gupta, a respected partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, alongside a dedicated team comprising Rashi Singh (Principal Associate), Vivek Tiwari (Senior Associate), and Adarsh Mishra (Associate). Supporting them were associates Mannshree Sikchi, Ananya Vajpayee, Pratham Bagani, and Anjali Banerjee, all of whom played a critical role in the due diligence process.
