Legal Firms Advise on Symbiotec Pharmalab's ₹1,757 Crore IPO

Symbiotec Pharmalab Limited successfully launched its initial public offering (IPO), raising a total of ₹1,757 crore. This offering includes a fresh issue valued at ₹150 crore and an offer for sale amounting to ₹1,607 crore by existing shareholders.

Khaitan & Co’s Role

Khaitan & Co provided legal counsel to Symbiotec Pharmalab during this IPO. The legal team was led by Partners Gautham Srinivas and Sathvik Ponnappa, with Principal Associate Pulkit Singh Rahangdale. The team also included Associates Anubhav Jaiswal, Sarvesh Sharma, Dharini Shanker, Anushaka Sharma, Swadha Swaroop, and Naman Seth, all contributing to the successful execution of the transaction.

TT&A represented the book running lead managers, which included JM Financial Limited, Avendus Capital Private Limited, Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Limited, and Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India) Private Limited. The team, spearheaded by Partner Abhinav Kumar, included Managing Associate Shubham Sancheti, Senior Associate Abhishek Iyer, and Associates Daniyal Khan, Akshita Sharma, and Harsh Shekhar.

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader’s Involvement

As the international legal counsel, Hogan Lovells Cadwalader advised the book running lead managers. The transaction was supervised by Biswajit Chatterjee, who is the Head of the India Practice and the Managing Partner of the Dubai Office.

Symbiotec Pharmalab is renowned for its research and development in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. The company excels in organic chemistry, biotechnology, and complex injectables. It has secured a global leadership position in the production of corticosteroid and steroidal-hormone active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) in both volume and value, projected to continue into Fiscal 2025.
