The NCLT & NCLAT Bar Association is set to celebrate a decade of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) with a special event in New Delhi on June 1. This gathering aims to honor the critical role these tribunals have played in shaping corporate adjudication and insolvency jurisprudence in India.
Prominent figures in the legal and government sectors will grace the occasion, including Supreme Court Justice Pankaj Mithal, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, former Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, NCLAT Chairperson Justice Ashok Bhushan, former Supreme Court Justice Rajesh Bindal, and NCLT President Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal. These dignitaries are anticipated to deliver addresses that highlight the tribunals’ contributions over the past ten years.
The event is spearheaded by Virender Ganda, President of the NCLT & NCLAT Bar Association and Senior Advocate. The program has been meticulously curated by Advocates Rakesh Kumar, Vipul Ganda, and Zorawar Singh. The organizing committee includes distinguished advocates such as Arvind Kumar Gupta, Rakesh Kumar, Purti Gupta, Niraj Preet Singh Chawla, Vipul Ganda, Zorawar Singh, SP Singh, and Vishal Ganda.
Established in 2016, the NCLT and NCLAT have emerged as pivotal forums for resolving company law disputes, facilitating insolvency resolutions, approving mergers, and addressing corporate restructuring matters. Over the years, these tribunals have become integral to the Indian corporate legal landscape.
The NCLT & NCLAT Bar Association is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and represents a broad spectrum of professionals, including advocates, company secretaries, chartered accountants, and cost accountants who practice before the NCLT and NCLAT.
