The National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) has entered into a significant partnership with the Rajiv K Luthra Foundation. This collaboration is set to pave the way for the establishment of the Rajiv K Luthra-NLUJ Accessibility Lab, a dedicated facility aimed at promoting disability inclusion within the realm of legal education.
A Commitment to Accessible Education
The newly formed Rajiv K Luthra-NLUJ Accessibility Lab will focus on enhancing educational accessibility through the integration of assistive technologies. This initiative will serve as a hub for research and policy development concerning disability rights, ensuring that individuals with disabilities receive comprehensive academic support.
Comprehensive Support for Students
Designed to accommodate students with a variety of disabilities—including visual, auditory, locomotor, and learning disabilities—the lab will offer both academic and infrastructural support. By February 2026, this state-of-the-art facility aims to become an indispensable resource for students, enabling them to thrive in their legal studies.
Internship Opportunities
In addition to the lab, the partnership will offer annual internships to two students from NLUJ who have disabilities. These internships will be hosted by Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, one of India’s foremost law firms, providing invaluable professional experience and exposure to the legal industry.
Legacy of Rajiv K Luthra
The Rajiv K Luthra Foundation continues to advance the philanthropic vision of its late founder, Rajiv K Luthra. Through various socio-economic and educational initiatives, the foundation remains committed to fostering inclusivity and empowering individuals across diverse communities.
