Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) in Mumbai is set to offer an innovative Online Certificate Course on Mediation, facilitated through its Centre for Mediation and Research (CMR) in partnership with the Centre for Arbitration and Research (CAR). The course will be conducted virtually via Zoom from June 19 to June 24, 2026, with sessions scheduled daily from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

This short-term certificate course, spanning 15 hours, is tailored to impart a comprehensive understanding of mediation, including its legal framework, dispute resolution strategies, and international commercial mediation practices. Day 1: June 19 (Friday)
Topic: Introduction to Mediation Concepts and Conflict Management
Resource Person: Adv. Gandha Sahu, a seasoned advocate and mediator known for her significant contributions to family, contractual, and property dispute resolutions, will lead the session.
Day 2: June 20 (Saturday)
Topic: Adversarial vs. Non-Adversarial Dispute Resolution and ADR Mechanisms in India
Resource Person: Adv. Dhruti Kapadia, a solicitor and international arbitrator, will share her expertise on various mediation types and centers across India.
Day 3: June 21 (Sunday)
Topic: Mediation Act, 2023 – Applicability and Provisions
Resource Person: Adv. Prathamesh Popat, recognized for his mediation advocacy and ADR training, will discuss the nuances of pre-litigation mediation and unsuitable disputes for mediation.

The course fee is set at ₹2,000 for external participants, ₹500 for MNLU law students, and ₹1,500 for MA Mediation and PG Diploma students. With limited seats available, interested individuals must register by June 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
