Tata Motors Acquires Majority Stake in Freight Tiger with Legal Support from TT&A, S&R, SAM, and Agram

Tata Motors Limited has significantly expanded its investment in Freight Commerce Solutions Private Limited, popularly known as Freight Tiger, by acquiring approximately 63% of the company’s shares. This strategic move involved purchasing various classes of shares from three key shareholders: Lightspeed India Partners, Florintree Infra, and Mr. Swapnil Shah, amounting to a total transaction value of ₹95.66 crore.

The prestigious law firm TT&A provided legal counsel to Tata Motors for this transaction. The legal team from TT&A was led by Partners Sachin Mehta and Pooja Menon, supported by Senior Associate Radhika Sarda, Associate Eshani Agarwal, and Company Secretary Ruchi Tripathi. TT&A has a history of advising Tata Motors on its previous investments in Freight Tiger, showcasing their expertise in managing complex legal transactions.

On the other hand, S&R Associates represented Freight Tiger and its Founder, Mr. Swapnil Shah, in this significant transaction. The S&R Associates team was spearheaded by Partner Kinnari Sanghvi, with substantial assistance from Senior Associate Shreya Jaipuria and Associates Sourav Kumar and Pradhumna Mohan Dixit.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, another prominent legal firm, provided advisory services to the selling shareholder Lightspeed India Partners. Meanwhile, Agram Legal Consultants represented Florintree Infra in the sale process.
