Abhinav Shukla, a seasoned legal professional with a robust background in institutional investments, has been appointed as the General Counsel at Unbound. Previously, Shukla served as the Head of Legal – Venture Growth (Global) at Alpha Wave Global, where he was instrumental in overseeing the legal operations for the fund’s global venture growth and private equity mandates.
Shukla is an alumnus of the Government Law College in Mumbai, holding an LLB, and is also a certified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). With nearly two decades of legal experience, Shukla has played a pivotal role in managing investments across diverse jurisdictions including the US, India, Israel, the UK, and the Middle East. His legal acumen has supported transactions worth in excess of $15 billion globally.
During his tenure at Alpha Wave Global, Shukla was at the helm of the legal framework for several high-profile investments. His portfolio includes significant transactions involving OpenAI, Anthropic, SpaceX, Cerebras, Aman Properties, ESR, LLM, Haldirams, Nxtra, Oberoi Realty, Dream11, and Lenskart. His previous career highlights include senior legal positions at Kalaari Capital and legal roles at Desai & Diwanji and Reliance Capital.
Upon his new appointment, Shukla expressed enthusiasm for the innovative opportunities at Unbound.
