Shobhit Batta has made a significant career move, joining Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India as a Partner Designate. Batta will be collaborating with the team headed by Senior Partner Girish Rawat. With nearly ten years of expertise in the banking and finance sector, Batta specializes in project finance, banking advisory, real estate finance, and related transactional work.
Throughout his career, Batta has provided counsel to prominent banks and financial institutions, developers, and infrastructure stakeholders on both domestic and international financing matters. His experience is particularly pronounced in sectors including renewable energy, transportation infrastructure like roads, e-mobility, manufacturing, real estate, and healthcare.
Batta’s role has encompassed drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financial and security documents, advising on project and concession-related matters, managing due diligence processes, title searches, and real estate-linked financing issues. Moreover, he has played a crucial role in intricate lender-side and sponsor-side transactions.
His noteworthy contributions include advising on transactions related to solar energy and road infrastructure projects, facilitating external commercial borrowings, takeout financing, debenture subscriptions, consortium lending structures, and lender-led strategic initiatives.
Before his new role at Luthra and Luthra, Batta served as a Principal Associate at Khaitan & Co. His transition to Luthra and Luthra has been warmly welcomed by the firm’s leadership.
