Legacy Law Offices Boosts Capital Markets Team
Legacy Law Offices has significantly bolstered its Capital Markets division by welcoming former Khaitan & Co Principal Associate, Surbhi Narang, and former National Stock Exchange of India legal expert, Shivanshi Chamoli. This expansion also includes over 10 additional lawyers across its New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh branches.
Key Appointments and Professional Backgrounds
Joining as an Equity Partner for Capital Markets, Surbhi Narang brings a wealth of experience in equity and debt capital markets, banking, and finance. A graduate of the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, and a qualified Company Secretary, Narang has advised on transactions involving institutions like Barclays Capital and Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited.
Shivanshi Chamoli, now a Principal Associate, also graduated from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, in 2019. Her career began at the Rajasthan High Court as a Law Researcher before she joined the National Stock Exchange of India as Deputy Manager – Legal in 2024. Chamoli’s expertise spans legal, regulatory, and compliance matters in equity, debt, and commodity derivatives.
Leadership Changes and Office Expansion
The firm has seen internal leadership restructuring with Roopali Chaturvedi elevated to Senior Partner, and Priya Kataria promoted to Associate Partner – Capital Markets. This restructuring aligns with the departure of Partner Pradyun Chakravarty.
The newly expanded Mumbai team operates from the Grande Palladium Building in Santacruz East, strategically located near the offices of the National Stock Exchange of India and the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
