Aniket Sengupta Joins Antares Legal as New Partner
Antares Legal has announced the significant appointment of Aniket Sengupta as a Partner, expanding the firm’s partnership to a robust 14 members. A distinguished alumnus of the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru, graduating in 2000, Sengupta brings over 25 years of extensive experience in banking and finance law, including specialized areas such as aviation and project finance.
Throughout his career, Sengupta has provided expert advice to a wide array of clients, including leading domestic and international banks, financial institutions, borrowers, and guarantors, particularly in complex financing transactions. His arrival at Antares Legal is set to strengthen their Banking & Finance practice significantly, enhancing their capability in handling both domestic and international financing ventures. This includes project and acquisition finance, structured and syndicated credit, intercreditor and security arrangements, external commercial borrowings, asset-based lending, securitisation, and debt restructuring. Additionally, Sengupta’s expertise will complement the firm’s established prowess in banking and insolvency disputes.
Before joining Antares Legal, Sengupta managed his own practice for over two years. Prior to that, he dedicated two decades to Luthra and Luthra, where he ascended to the position of Equity Partner.
