AQUILAW has unveiled its 2026 annual promotions, marking a significant career milestone for several of its legal professionals. Notably, four lawyers have ascended to the position of Associate Partner, reflecting their exceptional contributions and expertise in their respective fields.
New Associate Partners Announced
Among the newly promoted Associate Partners is Maharnab Roy, based in Kolkata, who is renowned for his proficiency in civil litigation. Roy’s practice encompasses matrimonial disputes, eviction proceedings, and succession and probate matters. He is adept at advising on complex contentious proceedings and strategic dispute resolution.
In New Delhi, Kanchan J. Modak has been recognized for her expertise in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate practice, and sports law. Modak handles investment rounds, exit transactions, and high-value commercial contracts with finesse.
From Bhubaneswar, Piyush Kumar Ray has been elevated, specializing in dispute resolution, criminal litigation, and white-collar crime. Ray’s expertise includes commercial and civil disputes, arbitration, and high-stakes litigation advisory.
Arnav Dash, also from Bhubaneswar, joins the ranks of Associate Partners for his work in civil and commercial disputes. His advisory extends to litigation, regulatory matters, real estate transactions, and strategic dispute resolution in sectors such as mining, infrastructure, and insolvency law.
Additional Promotions Across the Firm
Furthermore, AQUILAW has announced several promotions to Principal Associate, Principal Associate Designate, and Senior Associate. Mantika Haryani and Ankit Chhaparia from Delhi and Kolkata, respectively, are among those elevated to Principal Associate, along with Subarna Saha, Shrivalli Kajaria, and Syed Kishwar from Kolkata.
For the role of Principal Associate Designate, Jyoti Prasad Patri from Bhubaneswar and Sanjeev Kumar Kaushik from Delhi have been promoted.
The firm also advances Pratibha Yadav, Simranjeet Singh Rekhi, Sakchi Agarwal, and others to Senior Associate positions, acknowledging their contributions and potential for future leadership.
