Anandita Kaushik, a distinguished expert in aviation law, has transitioned from her role at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas to assume the position of General Counsel – India for Dassault Aviation. She will be stationed at Dassault Aircraft Services, the group’s fully owned subsidiary based in New Delhi.
Cyril Shroff, Managing Partner of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, expressed his sentiments regarding Kaushik’s move, stating, “It’s wonderful to have her as a client of the firm. We have a lot of respect for her.” This marks a significant development in Kaushik’s career, highlighting her longstanding relationship with the firm now continuing in a new capacity.
An alumna of Symbiosis International University, where she graduated in 2009, Kaushik further honed her legal expertise with an LLM in Mergers and Acquisitions from Columbia Law School in 2013. Her career spans over 15 years, during which she has specialized in Defense and Aerospace law. Her portfolio includes handling Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Mergers & Acquisitions transactions specifically within the aviation industry. Kaushik has consistently provided strategic regulatory, structuring, and transactional advice to both international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and domestic entities engaged in Indian defense procurement.
Kaushik’s professional journey includes an impactful tenure at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner for more than six years. Before that, she dedicated six years to Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., further establishing her expertise and reputation in the legal domain.
Reflecting on her new role, Kaushik remarked, “I have advised the Dassault Aviation group for over a decade now, and have always enjoyed solving for the unique challenges of the defense and aerospace sector in India. It was a difficult decision to move on from CAM, but these are exciting times for Dassault, and for the sector overall, and I look forward to contributing to their journey from closer quarters.” Her statement underscores her commitment to advancing the interests of Dassault Aviation amidst evolving industry dynamics.
